SBS Kft. and the University of Miskolc have agreed to establish a strategic partnership, which is intended to promote closer cooperation between industry and the education sector. The aim of the agreement is to implement joint projects in the fields of knowledge sharing, research and development and innovation that will provide long-term sustainable benefits for both parties.
The partnership particularly supports the professional development of university students through dual training programs, internships and thesis consultations. In the technology park and production units of SBS Kft., students can directly get acquainted with the most advanced technologies used in industry, while providing the company with the opportunity to search for and train the engineers and professionals of the future.
“For us, this agreement not only ensures the supply of future professionals, but also represents a knowledge base and innovation potential that contributes to increasing the competitiveness of SBS Kft.,” said László Balogh, Managing Director of SBS Kft., at the signing of the agreement. “Our goal is to supplement theoretical education with practical experience, so that graduating students can enter the labor market with knowledge gained in an industrial environment.”
“It is of utmost importance for the University of Miskolc to work with economic actors not only formally, but also in active cooperation,” said Prof. Dr. Zita Horváth, Rector of the University of Miskolc. “Our corporate partners, including SBS Kft., are committed to strengthening the Hungarian industrial sector, promoting innovation, and supporting the professional development and employment of talented students in the industry, together with the cooperation of the academic sphere.”
The partnership will also include joint research, development and innovation projects, which will contribute to the establishment and operation of the SBS Technology Park, taking into account the latest industry trends. The agreement is for an indefinite period, which the parties will fill with specific content annually, in order to respond to the most current challenges.
Norbert Mórucz, President of the Association of Science and Technology Parks, attended the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement and highlighted:
“Today's agreement is a defining milestone in the development of the Hungarian Technology Park System, as the Technology Park to be established by SBS Ltd. could be the 30th in the country. The national system currently consists of 28 Technology Parks, which have now become an independent economic development tool in the use of industrial and technological development resources.
The TTP Association represents the domestic Technology Parks in two global international organizations, which provides opportunities for further collaborations.
